water/mineral calculators💧

Direct Dosing Calculator

Customize your water profile using direct mineral additions (desired ppm is measured as CaCO₃ equivalent).

Water Volume

Direct Mineral Additions

The following calculator converts concentrations expressed as CaCO₃ back to g/L for a more traditional format. Please note: Sodium is handled as a special case where the “desired ppm” is for sodium ions – so “10 ppm” here would mean 10 mg/L sodium and 15.4 mg/L chloride.

Ion Profile Calculator

Enter your mineral additions to see a complete breakdown of your water profile, including all ions and hardness values.

Please note Sodium measurement is for 1000 mg/L sodium.

1000 ppm Concentrate Calculator

1000 ppm concentrates are super handy if you want to experiment with different water profiles. With this calculator you can make 1000 ppm concentrates in the size you desire.

Usage: Add 1 g of concentrate for 1 ppm of either GH or KH (as CaCO₃) in a carafe to create your brew water .

Then top up with deionised water until you reach 1000 grams on your scale. (You can of course also just top up with 500 g, but in that case you need to double each gram of concentrate = 2 ppm instead)

CaCO₃ Concentrate Calculator

Calculate the contributions of a CaCO₃ concentrate to your water profile.
